I’ve long had problems with dry frizzy hair and breakage, but attributed ALL of it to blow drying and curling irons. I never suspected shampooing until my hairdresser told me to stop shampooing so much. Initially, I thought that included the whole process of wetting, shampooing, drying, and curling. But she said I could still wet it everyday and style, just don’t use shampoo every day.
Then I found this challenge! So far I am five days into it have been using the baking soda and apple cider vinegar routine. I’ve since discovered conflicting information regarding the baking soda, so I may try just apple cider vinegar for awhile.
I’m finding that I prefer to do this in the bath rather than the shower so that I can lay all the way back to rinse in the tub massaging my scalp as I do. I feel like I am getting more residue/sweat out of my hair by laying back in the tub.
